Our Programs




At Sisters in Shelter ~ Clare’s House, we provide a clean, safe, supportive environment where mothers can live together with their children while they are in active recovery. Women commit to participating in their recovery by attending any programs to reach their goals and to become independent.

Sisters in Shelter ~ Clare’s House, with the support of referring agency, provides residents the resources needed to succeed:

  • Available counseling
  • Participation in support group meetings
  • Financial planning, budgeting and saving guidance
  • Life skills classes
  • Job training
  • GED classes
  • English as a Second Language
  • Transportation to classes, court and other appointments
  • Encouragement in personal and spiritual growth
  • Weekly gatherings with staff
  • Shared responsibility for household chores and meal preparation
